Artie, yes we do. However, we acknowledge that each of us is an adult and has one vote. The biggest argument we had was when he said a Republican candidate could put a sign in our yard. Bruce is in Kabul on an army base as a civilian contractor. His company is inspecting bases for electrical problems - don't want the soldiers electrocuted. He said the food is good, but he has heard he's living at the Hilton of bases. The tent where he sleeps has about 20 sets of bunk beds, but so only about a dozen are occupied. He's heard more people are coming next week. He'll be home hopefully in May.

Rahm's comments were made in a private setting, months ago, and he was attacking the plans of some liberal activists to attack some Conservative Democrats.
Last August, Emanuel "showed up at a weekly strategy session featuring liberal groups and White House aides," the Journal's Peter Wallsten reported lastTuesday."Some attendees said they were planning to air ads attacking conservative Democrats who were balking at Mr. Obama's health-care overhaul. 'F—ing retarded,' Mr. Emanuel scolded the group, according to several participants. He warned them not to alienate lawmakers whose votes would be needed on health care and other top legislative items."
It would be an entirely different matter if he had directed his comments at people who were mentally challenged, but that's simply not the case. I totally disagree that this matter isn't fit for discussion. IMHO, the dust up over his comments is "political correctness" carried to a ridiculous extreme. That's a subject that is worth debating, at least to me.
