The Times board was shut down because the Times didn't want to pay anyone to properly administer and police it. If they had,you would have been banned for spamming.

Not much to report on Captain :titanic: He's been avoiding the usual Hammond bashing,that is until today,when he started to slip back into it. It seems that every time he goes downtown he meets up with panhandlers. I,myself have never been approached by any in all the times I've been down there. Maybe it's the Creature who attracts them...like maybe how flies are attracted to garbage?

While I haven't caught all his drivel this week,it does seem as if he's trying to turn over a new leaf. However,knowing the Creature as we do,it's only a matter of time until he starts it up again.

I've suffered broken window, screen, digital tv, computer, printer and prescription drugs, a case of beer belonging to my son, my window is still broken in the kitchen - have to replace the whole thing...not the little one next to the big one, next to the little one...x-boxes, gameboys, stereo equipment, had the thief in the car..and this guy wants to cry like a baby?

It wouldn't be worth jacking up the insurance over that stuff. He should just shut up and claim it on his homeowners' insurance, and claim they put a hole in his roof to get over it.

As far as FreeTime...she's known for her lawsuits.,..that never came to fruitation. Only irritation.

If nothing happened to my house, and it was something so insignificant as a bolt, I'd just forget about it. Shitz happens. I doubt it happened, anyway. Why bitch when no damage was done. They can hurt her in thousands of ways if that was someone's intention. Just shut up about it and get over it.

Another witch hunt and conspiracy theory by the usual stooges bit the dust today. Captain :titanic: came up with a new gimmick today to bash the Mayor. He plays the "Mayor of Hessville" while his crew of nitwit listeners ask the questions. Today they were all over the "ATM" scandal and the thought that Bob Lendi,the controller,owns them. Unfortunately for them 6th District Councilman "Chico" Hinajosa called in and let the air out of their tires,saying that in his opinion it amounted to nothing and that the only thing he was concerned about was whether Hammond was being reimbursed for the power needed to operate them. Immediately afterward a loud moan that sounded like it was coming from a wounded animal was heard in North Central Hammond.

For week #2 of the "cleaner fresher approach to radio" we give the Creature a grade of "C-". On the plus side he went almost 3 days in a row without resorting to bashing. On the down side he eventually couldn't resist doing some bashing but IMO it was less than usual. Overall,it's an improvement,although a small one.

Such as JCMT, Free-Time, and others, but how often did you take a trip into the specific offices to address your problems? You make your problems. YOU HAVE NO PROBLEMS. Neighborhood thugs, yeah, but even those little girls kept looking at you giggling and whispering in each other's ear giving me the impression you must have made a bad impression on them for some reason. You must have done something to cause them to act like that. Like being the wicked witch on the block? Oh, I have no proof, just an observation. See the difference? They just may not have been making fun of you....maybe they were just looking at you for no reason at all giggling. See how impartial you can get? Try it. Maybe they were just giggling over you smoking or something. Who knows? They were little kids! Get my point? No...well, you act like them.

I would like to give you an example on how to get things done:

My son owns a rental. The first tenants did not get a garbage can...and the man worked for Waste Management and told my son he didn't need one...that he would take his garbage to work with him....so we never bothered city hall or the dept. for a garbage can....we knew he was only going to be in town for a year or so.

After HE moved out, new tenants moved in last year. Can't ask for better uplifting, taking pride in their rental home that we now have...only problem was, even though we were paying for garbage removal with no CAN for the previous renter, because it took over a year to renovate, we overlooked that we were being charged for garbage removal - and only realized it when we went to the water dept to pay the bill and told them we needed a garbage can for the location.

My son explained to her we never requested one before, cuz the guy was in the garbage business himself, and took his garbage to work...and would like a garbage can...and could we remove the charges for the years it took to renovate, where we had a dumpster, had no water or garbage, etc. She said, "Sure, just go to the Conkey Street address (that she gave us, ask for the supervisor, and if they give you a problem, here's my name and number).

Took a trip to Conkey Street and at that time some one else was in charge, but out of the office, and called my son to wait that he "would be in" after a certain time. We waited, he went in, and the guy wanted the deed, the rental agreement, etc., which we already had in hand...then refused to give him a garbage can for the rental. We also needed a lid to the garbage can where he resides in Hammond. We had two for some reason after I got the house, but the neighbor who left her house must have taken my extra can at the time she moved, because she always used my two cans...one was not enough for her. Her house is now a rental.

Anyway...after the guy at the Conkey Street address told my son "NO, can't give you a can for the rental - but I'll replace the lid at the residence," my son said and explained if there was a problem the nice lady at the water hole said to "call her" and she will verify he paid for water, sewrr and garbage pick up, even though the water was shut down for a period and garbage pickup was not required until he actually renovated it for over a year, and the lessee did not want garbage pick-up, he took his own garbage to work..."

The guy at the Conkey Street Sanitation (supv. at the time) year before last, said, "Oh, yeah? Well who he hell is she...we're above them.... I'm only fixing the lid at your residence cuz too many people come in here saying their cans got stolen."

We went back to the Hammond Water Dept. my son explained to the woman what he was told. He was then advised to go to City Hall and go see someone in the CODE Dept. I this time, went inside with him, but stayed away from the window. He explained to the nice lady what occurred and asked if they could help him get a garbage can for a place he renovated and rented out, but the second renter needs a garbage can. He also told her what Sanitation said (year before last), and she said, "What? They said they are above the Water Dept? You go upstairs and tell the mayor's office what they said to you...." There's no one ABOVE anyone around here!"

"If anyone is above anyone, it's the mayor...go to "X" floor and tell them what you just told me!"

So, my son trotted up to the mayor's office, explained the whole thing to the mayor's sec'y. She immediately got on the phone and called the Sanitation Department (this was over a year ago, remember, that please well over a year ago)....and she chewed the woman out...and she told her, you aren't above any office...give me your supervisor's number right now!"

After the mayor's sec'y called Sanitation on Conkey Street and spoke with the supervisor, we were told to go back to Sanitation.

The only excuse we got was, like I said before...."SOOO many claim their garbage cans got stolen...we will fix the lid on your residence.

I honestly can't recall if they gave my son a garbage can at that point, or if he had to pay for it...it's been soo long.

I do know that they would not reimburse us for unused garbage pick up when the water dept knew for sure we requsted no water for a certain period, and no garbage pickup for a certain period, yet we got billed for it anyway.

Shitz happens. He asked him since he paid for garbage removal for three years where there was no garbage can and no pick up, can he get reimbursed?

He was told to go to the legal clinic. Legal clinic over something already documented that was part of a job for someone...to just look up and get it "ok-ed?"

Not worth his time.

My point is...I didn't bitch about it until later. I did DO something about the problem...and encouraged my son to do it...then a long time ago, I did comment on it, but not in full detail.

- would like to add that the city is very nice in trying to help you if you have problems...they even quetion you why someone said something that may have had a bad reflection on all city offices/administration...there's always a few bad apples sometimes, but you just can't assume because someone said one thing, that they are reflecting the whole of the city.

I just ask that you visit the right department if you have a problem...they do help you out...and they do always follow through even when they can't solve it in one day.

I just wish those that bitch, would take a trip and see for yourself in person when you have a property problem, garbage, gang, housing issue...to take a few minutes and pop in and ask to talk to the appropriate person in charge in the apprpriate office.

Almost always you are invited in with a smile...and they liste to you. That's always been my experience and my son's experience. You work with them...they work with you...and they do give good advice. They want the things you want to make it better for all of us.

Bitching on a board only...is just that.

So, if Steve Fowler took that guy's place...hell he'd listen and do the right thing.

The whole episode took us five hours even with my son and his cordless phone.

I doubt now it would be handled this way with someone that took over the cocky-azz that used to think it was better to not give out what is missing and allowing others to steal what you rightfully paid for and owned and to take your money when you didn't even have garbage removal for over two plus years.

We had a dumpster during remodeling....the first tenant didn't want a garbage can...I think at that point maybe it was a blessing in disquise...someone would figure out no one was using it if there was one...and another would be stolen. It was a few years, maybe two where we didn't need pick-up; who cares. It's just the point. It's not worth the time or money to dispute anything like that. It was cheap rates for pick-up anyway.

I miss my extra garbage bin here....I paid for it when I got here, and I should be entitled to a new one...instead, NOW I am using the next door neighbor's rental if needed, cuz he generates very little garbage.

The "cleaner fresher approach" that the Creature promised his listeners appears to be dead as Captain :titanic: spent the whole show talking politics. First he interviewed some judge who failed to get on te ballot and then he spent the second hr ranting. One of his claims was that the Mayor met with 2 councilman the day that the ridiculous reward for a broken window was floated. Creature naturally insinuated that perhaps it was discussed and that they were the ones who tabled it. He also announced that he would be aggravating politicians,especially a certain one,but did not identify who that is.

The Stupid Creature moment of the day was when the failed drifter started ranting about party leaders that encourage people to vote a straight ticket Is this idiot actually suggesting that party leaders,be they Democrats or Republicans tell their constituents to vote for the opposition? Unbelievable! A good analogy would be the manager of a baseball team high-fiving a member of the opposite team that just hit a walk-off home run. Can you imagine their fan's reaction?

The only highlight of the entire show was when freetime called in asking for her third "mulligan" and Creature immediately hung up on her :rolfcry:

The thing is that they do not screen calls at all. This is about his decision not to take calls from a lunatic that has stalked his children and family on-line,and has admitted publicly to asking questions for no other reason than to "make his head explode". Their complaints will either be thrown in the garbage immediately or saved only for laughs at parties.

We're constantly reminded of what a shrewd sports handicapper Captain is,well at least according to him. Football,horses,baseball,etc.....The Creature always seems to have an opinion and almost always claims he wins .

Last week he made 4 football picks on another show and ended up winning 1 and losing the other 3. Today he comes on the air and claims he went 8 and 3 for the week.

Today we are going to illustrate how the Creature deliberately misleads his few listeners....

On Wednesday's show the Creature's guest was a right-wing hack who once a held a fairly minor position in a labor union and is now probably retired for quite some time. He had been promoting since Monday as someone who's in the know and would be aware if there are any Federal investigations ongoing in the region. Most of their time on the air was spent bashing Obama and they came off like the two low-information voters they probably are.

One highlight of the show that is worth mentioning is when loyal Creature lapdog "Dave from Highland" went completely off his leash and called in to remind the Creature that he had previously stated that unions were "bloodsuckers" and they were destroying America. Captain tried to deny he said that ,but anyone who listens to his daily train wreck knows he despises unions and often makes derogatory comments about them. It was embarrassing for the Creature,to say the least.

Finally,Creature asks the guy Are there any current federal investigations currently going on in Gary,East Chicago,Hammond. His answer was Yes,Yes,and Yes. The Creature acted as if this was some sort of scoop. The imbecile could have asked me the same question,and I would have given him the exact same answer. Now here's how misled people.....

His obvious agenda was to try to insinuate that these were some sort of political investigations,yet he failed to clarify what type of investigation he was concerned about.
The fact of the matter is that there are always ongoing investigations going on in the US Attorney's office. They do not have to necessarily involve politics. Drugs,money laundering,sex trafficking ,illegal workers,hate crimes,bank fraud,etc are all the responsibility of the US Attorney.

So yes,I am quite sure there are investigations going on in the cities mentioned.

IMO,Captain is coming off more and more desperate as the days go by. He lobbed a few spit balls at the popular "Stew & Vera" show that took over his failed 4-6PM drive time spot,insinuating that because Vera works as a secretary for the Lake County Democrats,she can't be objective.

Finally,a bit of Karma.....Earlier in the week the Creature mentioned a place called Jack's Carry Out in Hessville on Kennedy Ave. I wondered if he would be trying to sign them up as a sponsor since we all know the Creature never does anything unless there's something in it for him.

Yesterday (Wednesday) the new owners of Jack's Carry Out appeared on the "Stew and Vera" show.

Was asked a question the other day. Is Preacher packing fudge with a guy named George since his break up with Marsha? What does it mean?
