Happened into Georgey Porgey and all he wanted to talk about is how much he dislikes Dave Hacker and Matt Saliga and talked about trying to find another house in Hammond. Sounded like he was moving.

Funny you should ask. He called in to the Lunchtime Lightweight's show today to whine about the Lil Calumet and the conservancy district solution. When asked by the Creature what his plan was he offered none,nada,zilch!

Poor Georgie got all bent out of shape today after the Mayor exposed him on Jed's show this AM as a cheap political opportunist who's not doing his job on the school board. He called in to the Creature (who else) and whined about it. It was quite apparent the Mayor had struck a nerve.

Janiec claims that Hacker and Saliga should have known better than to have run against him. He appears to have an ago problem. The election was fairly close. Janiec has extreme dislike for Dave Hackers wife and says that Matt Saliga is ruining the Hammond School system by working for a private school. My republican precinct committeeman says he is voting for Tom McDermott. The GOP has way too many internal problems going on.

Is George Janiec still stalking Rob Pastore in Highland or did the police department take care of that problem?

You read the post on the condition of the schools in Hammond, vs. Carmel, IN. I would expect the schools to be on the same standard as those in Carmel, IN if the school boards took their jobs seriously.

Make up your mind which position you want, Janiec. Oh, neva'mind; it's too late. You blew it.

Ever notice that whenever there are reports posted about the school board that Janiec's name is never even mentioned?

I will write a letter to Janiec asking for his list of accomplishments as a school board member and will then post his reply.

That would be a good idea.

About 6 years ago, my sister was considering moving near Indianapolis for her job. Hesistant about the school system, a close family friend who just relocated near there a few years prior, suggested Carmel, IN for its school system, and highly educated families who chose to live there.

She couldn't stop bragging about their school system in Carmel, IN. I would expect the same standards in Hammond's school system, but unfortunately, I believe it will never happen.

Mr. Janiec could have taken the steps to weed out the trouble-makers, enforce zero-tolerance and relocate them on the first violation to a trailer outside in a parking lot, next to the school. Or, perhaps a different location that would segregate them from those who value learning and attaining the highest grades for college bound.

That is what happened when I went to high school in the early 70s. They parked a trailer in the enclosed court, and students who blew the rules were sentenced to the trailer. (Everyone referred to it as "Ding-Dong School".)

I believe the administrators and school boards are there just for the money. They could care less about the graduation rate. Why? Like someone mentioned, what has Janiec done since sitting on the board?

Nothing that I'm aware of. During the primary Janiec made little or no mention of even being on the School board. He certainly didn't point to any achievements since his term started. I never even see his name mentioned in any news reports.

Read in NWI Times he wants to use CASINO money to fix the levee or something? I don't feel like looking it up. Think it was the editorial.

And, may I ask, why should Hammond be responsible for the cost of protecting Munster and other communities to fix the flooding that occurs like it did a few years ago, when it was Hammond's mayor and everyone out there sandbagging.

Where was that Munster town-manager, or whatever they call he/she over there a couple of years ago, when the river flooded homes in Munster.

The only place I can find any list of what Janiec has done, seems to be on the Online Dockets, Pulled a gun on Pastore, Failures to appear in several of his divorces, Sued by his own Daughter for not paying Child Support, maybe he plans on using gaming money for that.

Did Janiec move or did his wife move ? Does George need to register with the police within so many days because of the gun issues ?
