Oh, if you think Hammond has a problem...the "rich, elite" voted for the seventh time on a referendum not to build a new high school, despite the growth...

You know what they did? Put the kids on split shifts. We did that at Thornridge when they bussed for integration.
Best thing that ever happened.

Those that weren't lazy, started early, got out early and pursued an intership at big-companies. Those too lazy to get up, ended up failing or in "ding-dong" school (trailers).

Perfect solutin for weeding out those that are ambitious and saving money on those that are not "morning glories". Ask Richard Roeper, he was on the morning shift with me.

Ask the actress/singer, LYNCH from Dolton...getting up early, early to rise...paid off. Building another school to accomodate the lazy isn't the answer. Splitting shifts is the answer. Building a new high school, when you have Tiger saying it's perfectly sound, having to put her kids through it, well, listen to the wise.

Personally I feel Tigers' kids are the last of the lot coming from caring parents that participated, attended meetings and really gave a great deal of concern towards her childrens' education.

After this, if you build new walls, that is all it will be. New walls. More and more of neighbors have passed away or deserted their homes. Who will really be stuck paying property taxes? Landlords. Renters. Because most of us middle-aged are done raising kids, and we don't want to raise a brood from the borders.
