Did you guys read about the LaSalle Hotel guy and how he feels bitter/slighted and used by the Mayor and whomever....? Friday's paper.......claims he got slighted by the mayor and each district for not endorsing him and not wearing campaign buttons, nor placing any signs in their yard, after paying each district 50 to 75.00 to do it.

I question why any one would have to give each district some money to put campaign signs in their yard, wear their buttons, and expect to be endorsed.

I thought people ran for office and the voters choose. Whassup with that bitter, old fool who runs a run-down hotel?

I was under the impression that Mayor McDermott enticed him to join the political pool to use him to get what they wanted for the charter school. From what I recall.

From what I also recall was they invited him to join the political arena where wence the hotel was a hot topic involving the charter school. Can't recall the details, really.

My impression is that they promised something, he joined, got wised up.

It was the guy's livliehood....he was guaranteed some position giving up the hotel and what the hell is gong on? You don't need to tell a hotel owner of phedophiles, prostitutes.. child molesters to &quote: get rid of the hotel, &quote: we'll make a bargain in exchange for the charter school, if you do this or and destroy what Hammond condoned for years.

There is nothing but dope addicts in that hotel. YOU KNOW IT, I KNOW IT. Not to mention the phedophiles, the idiots, etc.

Why promise the owner a better life and then ditch him?

My understanding is they offered him a position if he gave up the hotel. Am I wrong? I beg Hammond to LOOK INTO KALAMAZOOs' graduate rate and see what they are doing wrong for not coming near that reality.

Politicians: Log on to the Kallamazoo newspaper and find out why 100 percent graduated and now qualify for free college...why ypu are missing the point....

I don't believe he was enticed to run for anything,nor was he endorsed. In the end it was his decision to rent to sex offenders that did him in,Imo.

I thought Dave couldn't hold office because he works for the Post Office and the "Hatch Act" prevents that. Just wondering.

I think it's only public elective office,like councilman for example.
