Sarah Palin wants me to shoot Democrats

You all know I'm no fan of Palin, but blaming her for this makes me... uncomfortable. I think it's completely specious at this point. It's hard to assign blame when you're dealing with crazy. Yeah, well I agree. This shouldn't be about "assigning blame." This simply happened in a climate that makes incidents like this more likely. I sincerely hope that we see an end to the divisive, vitriolic rhetoric that has characterized political discourse the past few years. I think that we all knew that something like this was bound to happen sooner or later, didn't we?

I was shocked by this incident, but not surprised. Free speech is great, but speech that encourages violence should be avoided whenever possible. There are a lot of crazies out there. It doesn't take much to push some of them over the edge.

I glad you liked the video. I was impressed with it too. I posted it here in hopes that posters would take time to watch it. I'd like to see the video go viral so that more Americans will take a stand against hatred in our political debates.

The guy was described as a nut. Blaming Sarah Palin is just plain stupid.

The same kind of guy that tried to shoot Reagan.

I do not like how the different media outlets contradict each other and expose things the way the writer thinks, not based on facts or research.

Jumping to conclusion, giving opinions is not being unbiased when reporting news.

He was simply deranged. Period. If my kid was thrown out of college because he was told he needed mental counseling, there's the clue right there.

Who are the parents that missed the part where the kid was in need in psychiatric help?

It's how you were raised. Whatever happened to respect, voicing your opinion, debating, collecting petitions, having your voice heard?

You just don't go out and shoot people.

What is laughable, but sad is now, as a result of this, they want to tighten the "right to bear arms".

So the people that own guns, that are law-abiding, hunt, etc., will now face another obstacle.

It's sad. Punishing law-abiding people, yet coming up with a law to restrict them will never ever, restrict those who will find there way to obtain guns illegally. No law will cover the insane, the unstable, the abusers, the etc. Nope.

No law of restricting guns would have prevented this tragedy. I am upset that they make it out to be what they think it is. All it boiled down to was an unstable person who had a mission.

They are talking about limiting the magazine, which was limited until 2004. He had 33 bullets ready to go.

This is what pizzes me off: The ones who are gonna kill don't matter who they are, will find guns and ammunition.

My family goes hunting in the fall. Extended family and one brother and his son.

Along with their friends. They eat what they kill.

Obviously, the ones who follow the law don't shoot people. It's the criminals, and I don't care how many laws you put in, this guy that shot the congresswoman still found a way around it.

Sarah Palin is making money. That's all she's worth and doesn't give a damn about anything she says.

She showed her true "colors" by making money, quiting her job as governor.

Smart? Yeah, making money off her exposure.

Dumb? Yeah, by continuing.

The media should discontinue exposing her and the world would end for her. It's all about money.

Yeah, well I didn't really expect her to apologize. But that's what a politically savvy person would do, under the circumstances.

On Saturday in Inglewood, Calif., Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters had some harsh words for the tea party.
