Nice to see these crackpots passing their ignorance down to their kids....The latest email from Planet Wingnuttia...

Keep your kids home September 8th

by DanaLoesch
Take a day of vacation. Go to the zoo. Anything that would save your offspring from what I will bluntly say is just the quasi-fellating the executive branch. That cackling over a bubbling cauldron you hear is the NEA rejoicing.
Picture 4
President Obama’s Address to Students Across America September 8, 2009
I wouldn’t have such a problem with the Department of Education were this presented in a non-Orwellian fashion. Oh yes, it is, as the lesson plan directs, to listen to what t he president, the mayor, et al. says, to respect their "authoritah" , but there is no emphasis in here on why the president and other elected officials should listen to US. The focus is solely on authority. There is no consideration given to the authority of the American people. That’s what concerns me.
There is this mindset that those in Washington are the "elite," that we should mind our Ps and Qs and blindly follow their directives. That’s not the manner of governance upon which this country was founded – it is quite the opposite; even the hobbyist Constitutional aficionado appreciates this.
So yes, keep your kids home on September 8th and teach them that the power of America rests in the hands of its people, no one else.

NOTE TO OBAMA :

LEAVE OUR KIDS ALONE !!!!

Yeah,a 4 minute speech encouraging kids to stay in school, study hard and to recognize the importance of an education.

Here's an unbelievable example of just how far out of touch Republicans are.....

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Jim Greer today released the following statement condemning President Obama's use of taxpayer dollars to indoctrinate America's children to his socialist agenda.

Quote :
As the father of four children, I am absolutely appalled that taxpayer dollars are being used to spread President Obama's socialist ideology. The idea that school children across our nation will be forced to watch the President justify his plans for government-run health care, banks, and automobile companies, increasing taxes on those who create jobs, and racking up more debt than any other President, is not only infuriating, but goes against beliefs of the majority of Americans, while bypassing American parents through an invasive abuse of power.

"While I support educating our children to respect both the office of the American President and the value of community service, I do not support using our children as tools to spread liberal propaganda. The address scheduled for September 8, 2009, does not allow for healthy debate on the President's agenda, but rather obligates the youngest children in our public school system to agree with our President's initiatives or be ostracized by their teachers and classmates.

"Public schools can't teach children to speak out in support of the sanctity of human life or traditional marriage. President Obama and the Democrats wouldn't dream of allowing prayer in school. Christmas Parties are now Holiday Parties. But, the Democrats have no problem going against the majority of American people and usurping the rights of parents by sending Pied Piper Obama into the American classroom.

The Democrats have clearly lost the battle to maintain control of the message this summer, so now that school is back in session, President Obama has turned to American's children to spread his liberal lies, indoctrinating American's youngest children before they have a chance to decide for themselves."

White House releases full text of school speech
by SusanG
Mon Sep 07, 2009 at 10:30:03 AM PDT

The sneaky Obama administration this morning released the socialist school speech that will be delivered Tuesday to innocent schoolchildren nationwide. If kids are in a district that will allow them to be addressed by their president, that is.

As expected, it's brimful of socialist horrors and indoctrination, such as:
Quote :
# Whatever you resolve to do, I want you to commit to it. I want you to really work at it.

# Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.

# But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life – what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you’ve got going on at home – that’s no excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude. That’s no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. That’s no excuse for not trying.

# No one’s born being good at things, you become good at things through hard work.
Check beneath the fold--if you dare--to read the entire Socialist School Indoctrination Manifesto in full.

So are the anti-education parents still keeping their kids at home? They've been heard, changes have been made, let the kids hear the speech.

I don't see them as crackpots at all. The point here isn't even about the President's intentions anymore. This apparent protest, I believe, has evolved into something else entirely. It is now becoming a protest against the President's failure to deliver what he promised as a candidate.

And not to be forgotten is promises of a highly ethical administration which instead has manifest into a taxpayer funded big payback to the President's campaign contributors and apparently un-vetted Czars being given a vast amount of authority with neither Congressional oversight or ballot box vote.

Outside of talk shows and political party officials does anybody really feel the change we were promised has been being implemented as promised?

So what started out as the wording of related materials promoting the address to school children seems to have mushroomed into a general protest of the Federal government. This protest knows no political party lines. A lot of people are really angry in general over the current trends in motion.

Vice President Biden claimed the economic stimulus package was working as expected? Except new unemployment claims have already exceeded the administration's estimates. When people hear things like that they soon start thinking "snow job." So it's only natural to want to protect your family from the influences of such government officials! lol!

He's only been in office for 8 months. What's he failed on?

If you know anything about finance and the markets you'd know that unemployment always lags behind recovery.

The Stimulus Package is a failure...only 20% of the money has been spent, and the banks are still not making loans.

What an incredibly ignorant statement. Hey genius,If only 1/5th has been spent, how can you call it a failure? That's like saying a football team has no chance of winning simply because they didn't score in the first 12 minutes of a 60 minute game.

It's a failure, because the plan isn't being carried out. The money was handed out, but nothing is happening...what is the wait?

In the previous post you claimed only 20% was handed out,now you claim it was handed out,but nothing is happening? Which is it,genius? Google 'stimulus projects underway' and you'll find plenty of examples of projects.

Well, I've seen more of the irrational "OH NOES!! HEZ SOCIALSISM BRANEWASHING!!!" instead of a simple "we don't think he's doing a good job" offered as justification. But the latter response is just as nutty, IMHO. A child's education doesn't need to suffer because of the political view of their parents. Social studies, astronomy, and biology will still be social studies, astronomy, and biology regardless of how well the President is performing his job.

Here's the exact word(s) or slant that is the "bottom line" of where Barack's speach should have been directed to:

http://www.southtownstar.com/news/kadner/1760354,090909kadner.article

At the end of his article, NOTE THE LAST LINE....

"No one's born being good at things, you become good at things through hard work," the president told our children.

And then he said that even when they're discouraged and feel like other people have given up on them, they should never give up on themselves.

"Because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country."

Again, with the propaganda about the country being as important, if not more important, than the individual.

"So I expect you to get serious this year. I expect you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great things from each of you. So don't let us down - don't let your family or your country or yourself down."

Some parents had threatened to withhold their children from class on Tuesday so they wouldn't be forced to listen to the president's speech.

Some school superintendents decided to record the president's message for use at a later date, just in case he said something so dreadful that students would be traumatized for the rest of their lives.

And when the president talked about the students of today developing new technologies for tomorrow to protect our environment, I'm sure some of his critics said, "There it is. He's using his speech to send a political message."

Work hard. Accept responsibility. Help the country. Save the planet.

Obama's message was misdirected, if you ask me.

He should have been talking directly to the nation's parents.

Perhaps a better analogy is giving up 50 points to 0 in the 1st qtr. Granted, it could turn around. But I much doubt it.

Take that cash 4 clunkers scam. To get only a few MPG better didn't we have 4 of 5 new cars bought being foreign made? Then there's the whole scraping issue, taking perfectly good cars off the used market and dumping clunker parts into landfills. But in the end who pays the bill for cash 4 clunkers? So basically taxpayers paid for incentives to go buy foreign cars. Twisted Evil

But hey! Billions for a few wheelers & dealers to make a few dollars seems to be the theme these days around Washington, DC.

First stages of U.S. rebound underway: Fed's Lockhart

By Mark Felsenthal
Reuters
Thursday, September 10, 2009 1:21 PM

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Reuters) - Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank President Dennis Lockhart said on Thursday the U.S. economic recovery has started and made a plea for central bank independence to assure global markets the U.S. will pursue responsible monetary policies.

"Overall, the U.S. economy is improving but still fragile," Lockhart told the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville. "Stabilization is proceeding, and the first stages of recovery are under way."
