On that point I agree- and if he lied, then screw him if he's going to lie about something as minor as that then he doesn't deserve the position IMO. Interesting though, now that they have impeached him, I wonder if the courts can force Jesse White to sign the paperwork or allow for a special election (which IMO should happen). I think "elected officials" should be elected by the people and not appointed.

But it could have been made off handed as well. A meeting may havce been coming to a close and he mentioned it.

Met some woman at a Potluck dinner in Hambolt Park, found out she wasn't feeling good, didn't have insurance, and he saved her life. Wow.

But he didn't mention how he held up a hospital for sick children - wouldn't give them the funding if he didn't get a kick-back.

All I can say about Burris is from what I read today. He contradicted himself when he went on record saying he never was in contact with anyone connected to Blago. The truth came out that he indeed get in contact with one of Blago's ex-s (you can't expect me to keep up with the positions or names), now, they are talking about holding off on seating Burris for real, untl the ex-gov soon-t0-be- goes before the Senate for trial. They are actually stalling Burris. From what I understand.

What was funny, watching CNN, the host. along with the rep reporters from the Tribune and Sun-Times actually predicted he would come out with the crap he fed in the microphone.

I wish BillB would give his analysis (the poster on the board). He did a great job showing someone elses' posts and having that person analyzed by an expert. I would be so curious to hear his opinion.

Did I hear today that the Illinois courts will not require White to sign the document that would allow Burris to be seated?

They said the same thing on CNN, reading emails from people while he (Blago) was talking. He's warped. He's desperate.

Artie, I seriously believe this guy is in denial and in serious need of mental help. No normal human being would act this way. Ironically, his hero was Nixon. At least Nixon bowed out. It would take a great psychiatrist and psycologist to explain this behavior to the world.

On another note, the foundation to which he contributed to is being forced to move (helping the homeless), and his wife was hired four months ago (bad timing, the paper said), and they said they have not raised any money since she was employed. Go figure, now they are going bankrupt. He wanted big money, but they have so much on him, he's just trying to avoid jail as long as he can, according to the opinion of the anchor today, at CNN and the reporters from the Tribune and Sun-Times. It's crazy. I would be so embarrased if I was him.

You know, I knew something was up when Patty's dad, Mel threatened to expose him and backed off. Her days seeing her father was exposed in the Tribune..she had to meet him at the skate park at the Daley Center, and bring the kids. I wouldn't ever do that in my life; shut my parents out over a husband that is so mental. She must be as mental as him.

I just read your post as I was ready to submit mine and it gives me a chance to modify. I read that Jesse White refuses to this day to sign it. I was asking myself the same question, but today on CNN they confirmed he refused to sign it, and they said very vaguely, that they are kind of lingering over Burris' testimony yesterday, contradicting his prior statement that he had not talked to anyone linked to Blago.

From what I read in the papers on-line and heard on the news, they are allowing him in, but stalling...until Feb. It was so vague, it wasn't clear at all. Yesterday the Sun-Times stated that Jesse White regrets not signing, then I read he refuses to sign it, then I read they didn't need his signature. Then today, I heard on TV that he didn't sign it, but Burris' appointment is not official. They are all nuts. Blago made them nuts. For once history was made, and already it got messed up with Illinois politics. CNN's anchor mentioned today, that Chicago or Illinois is known for corruption, and in a national view they were curios, wanted the guys from Trib and Suntimes to explain it. It was surreal the impact this gov has on a national level. They think IL is so damn corrupt, they can't even figure it out.

Unfortunately Bill B. hasen't got time to analyze everything. Like many others I am working on saving my position at work, getting ready for school starting again next week, and dealing with family.
The long and short of it is Blago thinks he's a Kennedy with his fake Mass. accent and perfect hair, and he expects that everyone will conform to his version of reality.

Hi Bill, it was just on the news. Jesse White says he won't sign it. Someone says he doesn't have to sign it. Then Jim Burke came on and said they will not accept it unless it is signed.

I love politics, but this guy is wearing me out. (Blago). I'm still trying to figure out why it took so long though it was a Federal investigation starting years ago...to wait until now to blurt it out.

I know it was critical because of Obama's seat being sold, but with so much evidence from prior years, what is their excuse to wait until now? I smelled the skunk in 2006.
