The newspaper busted Lomeli from the Hammond Firemen Union having illegal meetings with the city council. Looks like time for the firemen to find a new leader after Lomeli goes away.

Yet not a peep out of the self-appointed civic watchdogs like Preacher or Freetime. All Preacher cared about yesterday was who took the picture and blew the whistle.

The Mayor announced today on his WJOB show that his claim of having a picture of the illegal meeting was just a bluff. It was a very smart move. Those involved got nervous and admitted their attendance,while the idiot that calls himself 'Preacher" spent the whole week chasing his tail trying to find out who took it.

I was kind of surprised to read in the Times that 70% of the firefighters reside outside of Hammond and that there are seven stations...
