UPSET over a Smoke Shop "OUT OF BUSINESS"

The Cheap Tobacco shop at 175th and Calumet has pulled up stakes and left Hammond. 1 less place to buy smokes and a hookah pipe. What incentives did this administration offer to keep this fine establishment in Hammond? Where was the economic development department when this travesty unfolded?

I saw that happening 7 years ago. He wasn't "cheap".
Go to the drive-thru at Mobile on 165th & Hohman and pay far less for your cigs.

You know that place right off of the expressway, the long building, claiming the cheapest cigs in town? Plan on paying 50 cents or more. I GO WHERE THE PRICES ARE CHEAP.

Went once into the 175th AND Calumet AVENUE place...east side, ONE TIME, AND TOLD HIM TO PRAY HE HAS ANY BUSINESS. He was a ripp-off, and never saw anyone patronizing the place.

P.S. - changed plans..leaving in the a.m. With an added anecdote, with all the competition, coupons, the attitude of that former owner,

He doesn't fit into the renovation of Cal Avenue, anyway.

Yep,exactly the same scenario as her failed scheme to get suckers to send her pictures of parking receipts. Not a peep out of her about that.

Trot right next door to the gas station (exactly right next door, south) to the Gas STATION. Seems they bought out all his "HOOKAH PIPES. Never noticed until you mentioned it.

They are lying right in front of you, behind the glass window.

I was astonished to see them selling something that people buy to smoke crack or grass from...thought those days were over. Couldn't figure out why they would all of a sudden present that merchandise. Now, due to your post, I realize why....they bought the crap from the Tobacco City guy. LOL

Anyway, one guy went out of business next door, but sold his crap to the guy next door. No loss. Just make sure you go there and buy cigs, and those HOOKAH WOOKAH pipes! They come in all sizes, and all kinds of swirly colors.

Pat yourself on the back. When one door closes - another opens. No incentitives needed from Hammond...the Calumet corridor South consists of new businesses, and professional businesses. A HOOKHA-POOKHA place would be out of place.

I'm sure the gas station compensated the guy, DEARLY. Mak sure you buy your HOOKHA-POOKHA pipes there. The cigs are the same price...so don't worry about that.

You can even buy gasoline there....but beware..the prices are so cheap you actually get more gas paying a few more pennies per gallon down the block at Speedway.

Who do you think is running the place? Can't barely speak English.

They also offer porno movies...some other gangsta stuff...the right kind of gas station for all your needs. Just don't buy the gas.

If you decide to buy gas, please inform the county WEIGHTS and MEASURES that though they offer lower prices, you still get less gas.

As fast as the Hammond "LOST ANOTHER BUSINESS" another took its place....you can still buy smokes, pipes, etc. across the street.

Another business already took its place. Seems you got paroanoid.

Such a travesty! You can buy your pipes and dreams on the corner of 175th & Cal Avenue...no loss. Go get high.Just don't snort their gasoline.....right across from Walgreens. Porno movies, pipes, dreams...and if you need help, the drug store is right across the street.

I meant paronoid...nevertheless, no business lost. A new guy moved in...not sure what it is except another hopeless car dealer.

Who cares..one door closes; another opens..what a fine establishment! A thousand smoke shops and this guy thinks it's the only one around. NO ONE PATRONIZED IT.

Why? He was a dope addict, had dope shitz in there and his cig prices were higher than any one elses. Good riddance!
