I'm going to have to disagree with you on your claim that Rush Limbaugh is not a leader of the GOP. Have you forgotten would the Republicans said in 1994 when they regained control of Congress? one of the first acts by many freshmen (calling themselves the "Dittohead Caucus") was to award Limbaugh the title of "honorary member of Congress" in recognition of his support of their efforts during this period I have a huge problem with any member of the media proclaiming that they hope that our President "fails". I also believe that many of the corporations that buy advertising on Rush's radio show are going to be opposed to his sentiments. I think you hold him accountable for what he says on the air. Didn't he also sleep over in the Lincoln Bedroom at the behest of Bush 41? Meanwhile the majority of Americans see right through him..... - Quote :
However, public polls have shown that a majority of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of Limbaugh. For example, in a March 2007 Rasmussen Reports poll 62% of those surveyed had an unfavorable while only 33% had a favorable opinion of Limbaugh, a nearly 2 to 1 ratio that was by far the worst among the 18 journalists included in the poll http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rush_Limbaugh#See_also

I could care less how much Rush or any of the wingnut propaganda specialists earn. Challenging their rhetoric and pointing out their deceptive slants and hypocrisy is the best way to fight back. They have too many kool-aid drinkers listening to them as it is,to simply ignore them. Limbaugh is either a dangerous demigod controlling the masses with his Kool-Aid, or …. - Artie60438 wrote:

… he is entirely irrelevant.
Any chance you could possibly make up your mind on this? Although you may want to, you can't have it both ways.
(Also, Artie, everyone is still waiting with bated breath for you to explain the 'plan' that only you and the Messiah are privy to. Please stop teasing us.)

It's very simple. The majority of Americans see the Limbecile for what he is.....a pathetic water carrier for the GOP. The ones that don''t are the same people deluding themselves that GW Bush was a good President. - Quote :

That answers nothing. Should he be opposed, or should he be ignored?

:offtopic: I hope you realize that in the time it took you to dig up your cute little 'OFF TOPIC' cartoon, you could just as easily have typed, "I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, and never did", since it's quite obvious that that is the case.

| Just for the record, what I have heard Rush say is I hope Obama's "socialist" policies fail. As I had said before to Ohhmama, the word Socialist is being batted all around, and is being completely misused. There has not been a case of "Socialism" yet in this country with all the bail outs etc... | |

| Wait it is wrong for Rush to say that he hopes Obama fails?
Seems to me, that falls under the First Amendment, and he has the right to say that he hopes he fails |

| It does fall under that, but he has the right to say it as well
This is no different than what Jesse Jackson said on Fox News when the camera's were off, or when Rush said that the NFL wants McNabb to succeed in the NFL because he is black.
Both were inappropriate, but they had the right to say it |

Americans are fed up with the partisan attacks and voted for change. Apparently Limbaugh hasn't gotten the message. The more he plays to the base, the more reasonable people are going to leave the Repub party.

| Just because people may leave the Repub party doesn't necessarily mean they'll jump to the dark side. (joke- haha)
Personally I'm sick of the RINO's in office but that doesn't mean I'm going to become a Democrat. |

| Rush Limbaugh's giant head to explode in 3..2..1 - Quote :
- In case you needed further proof of the importance of the women’s vote in Colorado this election – and that the Obama campaign is following the 2010 roadmap of U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet – word comes that Sandra Fluke will introduce President Obama at his Denver campaign stop.
Fluke is the Georgetown Law Student who testified before Congress earlier this year in favor of insurance coverage of contraception, and gained national attention when conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut” and a “prostitute.” (Limbaugh later apologized).
Obama is scheduled to speak at the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver Wednesday morning. While his talk – and other stops in Grand Junction, Pueblo and Colorado Springs – will be focused on his plans for the economy, the Fluke appearance brings to the forefront another area in which the Obama campaign is trying to differentiate its candidate from Mitt Romney.
