Dreamer Arrested After Speaking To Media Will Be Deported Without Hearing

ICE specifically targeted this girl for the crime of speaking out publicly about the detention of her family members.  They arrested her directly after the press conference, saying "You know who we are, you know what we're here for."  And now ICE says that they are deporting her, without a fucking hearing!

So please sign this petition... It probably won't change the outcome, but we gotta try... we can't just stand by and say nothing while the government uses "targeted enforcement" against  "enemies of the state."

I signed a petition on Action Network telling Secretary John Kelly to Release DACA recipient Daniela NOW! #FreeDany.

ICE agents detained 22 year old Dany Vargas just hours after she courageously spoke about her fear of deportation at a press conference. She was afraid because two weeks ago, ICE officers raided her home and detained both her brother and father while she hid, terrified, in her closet for four hours. Dany came to the U.S. when she was 7 years old and was a beneficiary of the DACA program. She is a manager at a small store and dreams of becoming a math teacher. Like many beneficiaries of the DACA program, paying the nearly $500 in fees every two years was hard and her DACA status expired. However, she saved up, got the money together and her renewal application is now in the approval process. But because of this technicality, ICE tracked her down, and put her into the deportation pipeline. Sign this petition now!

I think that you are smart enough to realize that the media have Trumped up this whole thing, and that it should be settled within the next few days.
She will not even come close to being deported, but the groundwork has been laid to demonstrate the administration’s callousness, so your goal has been met.

Personally, I think that she will be deported, and that saddens me, but what concerns me even more is the fact that our government is targeting individuals who dare to criticize it.  

That's simply chilling... and it's something that all of us should be concerned about.
