That's really unfortunate. I feel that I should take a moment here and wish Artie the best. I really hope that he reconsiders because he often posts articles that I wouldn't otherwise see, or more importantly, articles that I haven't seen yet, like breaking news. I always appreciate it when someone alerts me to a breaking story. I'll miss that.
OK. I'll take one shot at trying to give you my take on this whole mess, and then I'm back to regular posting...

The reference to "serial liar" in this case is obviously Artie, not me.

Somehow, Jack interprets Artie's statement as "implying" that Scorpion is a liar. I honestly have no frickin' idea how Jack came to that conclusion, none at all. Although I am also baffled at what Artie meant by his statement, I have always known that it had nothing to do with me... I'm pretty sure it was just an obscurely articulated swipe at Jack But honestly, I never cared about any part of this exchange, at all.
Sorry if I offended anyone with the illustration and video that I put up... It was just meant to be lighthearted.
BTW - Doesn't anyone like the video I posted? WTF?

It was... alright. But I may be a poor judge. I set the bar for my Nirvana covers impossibly high.

Yeah, it's really more of a totally disrespectful "reimagining" than a cover. Sometimes, I'm just really into trance and house music... Man, I hope Artie didn't leave because he thought I was dissing Nirvana...

Shit. That's a great track. I've known of deadmau5, but I don't think I've ever actually heard any of his stuff before. A buddy of mine really got into trance and techno after we got out of college, early 2000's. Everything I know was kind of filtered through him; he'd always send me his favorite stuff - Hybrid, Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sasha. Spent a lot of time listening to di.fm and soma.fm.
So I'm right there with you, female vocals FTW. That track is awesome. I'm sure there's an audiologist out there somewhere that can explain it why female vocals work so well, but damn, does it ever.
I'm going to have to dig out some old CD's. A very needed distraction. A reminder of better times.
I've worked with a several dozen rape victims in my near 20 year career, ages ranging from 12 to 18. I'm definitely not looking forward to doing so for another 20. In exactly zero cases has one of them said, "I should've had my rapist's baby" or "At least he could've put one in me." Gifts from God and all. Something to at least make at lifetime of trauma worth it.
Republicans like happy, who've never dealt with such trauma and certainly don't offer to help those that do, and who falsely believe all pregnancies end cheaply with complication free healthy, giggling babies and still breathing mothers, will be true fucking heroes for forcing it on tomorrow's victims. Even if it kills 'em. Ya know... for the children.
FML. Lemme turn the music up a bit and grab another drink...

The Way We Were
Memories Light the corners of my mind Misty watercolor memories Of the way we were Scattered pictures Of the smiles we left behind Smiles we gave to one another For the way we were Can it be that it was all so simple then Or has time rewritten every line If we had the chance to do it all again Tell me, would we? Could we? Memories May be beautiful and yet What's too painful to remember We simply choose to forget

Now you're trying to turn this tripe into a theoretical? What part of "I don't get it" and "I don't care" don't you understand? I'm not going to play 20 questions with you on this.... if you absolutely feel the need to continue, then just explain it... all of it, in your own words.
If not, that's fine too, because again... I don't fucking care.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has received more than a dozen judicial misconduct complaints in recent weeks against Brett M. Kavanaugh, who was confirmed as a Supreme Court justice Saturday, but has chosen for the time being not to refer them to a judicial panel for investigation.
A judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — the court on which Kavanaugh serves — passed on to Roberts a string of complaints the court received starting three weeks ago, said four people familiar with the matter.
That judge, Karen LeCraft Henderson, had dismissed other complaints against Kavanaugh as frivolous, but she concluded that some were substantive enough that they should not be handled by Kavanaugh’s fellow judges in the D.C. Circuit.

Look's like a highly effective protest to me. The GOP and Trump could have avoided this if they simply did a real investigation. Many people wanted to testify but they were silenced.
Personally, I'm proud of these protesters. I certainly didn't hear any "Jews will not replace us!" chants, did you?
No, these were peaceful protests against injustice.
When the government ignores the will of the masses, taking to the streets in protest is completely sane and rational.
The GOP has now all but officially declared war on women. Talk about "showing your true colors." Wow.
