why politcs and school boards shouldnt mix

tiger otob reports a near riot over conditions at clark at the school board meeting last night led by former mayoral candidate oscar sanches, while current mayoral candidate geroge janiec sat on the board that cancelled its own meeting.

basically the school board cannot conduct business because of the mayoral politics that have now consumed it, furthermore tiger states children left in fear, and residents needed police escorts to leave the event for fear of the rioters.

no clue what the problems are at clark, but its unfortunate the janiec led board has clearly not been successfull at easing them.

as for the demonstraters...they may have been successfull at getting more attention now, but this isnt a way to gain any sympathy from the public for whatever your problems are.

lets hope cooler heads prevail, and solutions can be found. the first one...oscar needs to quit playing politics at school board meetings, and janiec needs to get his ass off the school board. after that. then parents and real educators can hopefully begin to do their jobs respectfully and peacefully.

First of all, conduct business in English. Secondly, let only Hammond residents speak. Thirdly, if the racism has been going on for years (as alleged), is there some group that can investigate? Maybe an educational equivalent of the EEOC.
