actually yes you can.
on the one hand mcdermotts turnout was much higher then in any primary previously...and he recieved the second most votes of any election hes ever run in on tuesday (about 600 behind his total in the very heavy genereal election turnout win over dedelow in 99)
on the other hand almost nobody showed up to vote against him, by far the fewest ever votes cast against mcdermott (and yes im including mayoral ballots cast in both parties) in any election since he first ran for office)
so what can one deduce from such a heavilly lopsided race? the mayor has deep and wide support and has never been more popular, while not nearly as many people oppose him as the nabobs would have you think...or are ready to admit.
they wont ever admit they are wrong big. but its our job to keep reminding them
