Kiesling picked up for Public Intoxication

Mark Kiesling has been arrested for another alcohol related incident. Munster police arrested him Saturday night after a minor traffic accident.This is another story that you won't see in the Times.

The report states Kiesling was slurring and smelled of alcohol, and appeared unsteady on his feet. He agreed to take a portable breath test, and recorded a 0.20 percent reading, more than twice the legal limit.

How many other times was he arrested for the same thing? Secondly,how does he only get charged with public intoxication and not DUI?

Maybe the Munster PD is afraid of the wrath of the Times. It strikes me as pretty unusual too.Maybe someone with a legal background will add their insight into whether he should have been charged with a DUI.Is there a way I can edit the title of this thread?

Could it be that he wasn't driving when they got there? In no way am I excusing the behavior, (he deserves a DUI) but could that be the reason?

He was not on a public street and was not driving at the time.
