| This might be a good day to tune in to wingnut radio just to hear their heads exploding over this Start and enjoy the next chapter of their civil war and circular firing squad.... Steele: GOP 'disingenuous' criticizing bailouts@ 9:58 am by Eric Zimmermann RNC chairman Michael Steele says the GOP is being "disingenuous" in blaming Democrats for poor economic performance, since Republicans started the bailout process in the first place. - Quote :
- "Look, we can't go back out and start pointing fingers at Democrats and saying look how bad they're performing, look at what they're doing with the economy when we jumpstarted this thing," Steele said on MSNBC's Morning Joe. "We were the ones that put the $700 billion on the table and said, all right, let's start nationalizing the banking system."
Added Steele, - Quote :
- "So now, for us to stand back and go, oh, that's a bad thing to do is disingenuous."
91 Republicans in the House and 34 in the Senate voted for the original financial bailout, which the Bush administration developed and lobbied for heavily. Since then, conservatives have criticized the program, arguing its been poorly implemented. Steele added that "poor leadership" led the party away from it's principles since Reagan left office. "It was poor leadership. It was coming to Washington, drinking the Potomac River water, getting that fever, if you will, and spending, growing government 40 percent," said Steele. http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2009/04/30/steele-gop-disingenuous-criticizing-bailouts/

| Funny you two don't like hearing the "truth" from Limbaugh. He's about as honest as it comes to speaking his mind, not worried about repurcussions.
Truth hurts sometimes. So does the Drudge Report, so does the Huntington Post, so do some local newspapers...gee, I guess we're the minority.
It's sort of ironic the Roseland, IL troupe are demanding a stimulous from their messiah, because afterall, he started out back then in their hood, and it seems because he moved on, "he owes" them. I love that racist excuse.

| By the way, to stay on topic, those bail-outs, me knowing common sense, knew they were bailing out lost-causes. If no one buys, what good is it?
Who would buy their products? Even if they "re-tooled" the auto industry, while they take their time, who the hell can afford a $40,000 car that has most recently been scrapped? Had we been given the stimulous money, hell, we could have scrapped our konkers, bought their inventory, gave them the money to "re-tool". Instead, we got no where. It's a joke!
On WallStreet, they are closely linked to those in the White House.
And by the way, those long-term politicians have money links to Wall-Street, so "don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining", as Judge Judy would say.
I'm not blaming the President of the USA....I'm blaming his judgement. He listens too much to the wrong underlings. He's a "follower," not a leader.

| Guess we'll have to keep that in mind when the right starts spouting off their mouths about socialist this an socialist that. If this is in fact socialism, then it is Republican initiated socialism. | |
