ATF Fast and Furious: New documents show Attorney General Eric Holder was briefed in July 2010

WASHINGTON - New documents obtained by CBS News show Attorney General Eric Holder was sent briefings on the controversial Fast and Furious operation as far back as July 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress.
On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, "I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks."
Yet internal Justice Department documents show that at least ten months before that hearing, Holder began receiving frequent memos discussing Fast and Furious.

Yep...he's a fibber:

Darrell Issa to Eric Holder: Admit you knew

...“He may or may not have perjured himself, but he certainly failed to answer my questions and [Rep.] Jason Chaffetz’s questions about what did he know — he implied he knew nothing when in fact he at least knew something,” Issa said on Fox News. “We certainly would like to believe that he was disingenuous but not lying. The fact is, the people who are making those statements on his behalf are lying on his behalf, period.”

The California Republican insisted that Holder “had to know” about Fast and Furious from his weekly briefings, citing at least seven separate memos that he said included information about the program. In addition, Holder’s “number two and number three” at the DoJ were “intimately involved,” Issa argued."

Looks like time is still on Holder's side. By the time they get around to charging him for perjury, Mr. Obama will be out of office. Of course, POTUS will pardon him before he leaves office, if they "snag Holder" fast and furiously.

My opinion.

Is Anyone out there HONEST??????

Here's why:

Attorney General Eric Holder at the Mexico/United States Arms Trafficking Conference
CUERNAVACA, MEXICO ~ Thursday, April 2, 2009
Remarks as prepared for delivery.

First, let me express my thanks to Attorney General Medina Mora and Secretary of Government Gomez Mont for making this conference possible.

This is my first trip to another country as Attorney General. I wanted to come to Mexico to deliver a single message: We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you in this fight against the narcotics cartels. The United States shares responsibility for this problem and we will take responsibility by joining our Mexican counterparts in every step of this fight.
And, together, we will win - thanks in large part to the courage of my Mexican colleagues here today, who are on the front lines every day, and with whom I am proud to collaborate.

The topic that has been addressed over the past two days could not be more important - the development of an arms trafficking prosecution and enforcement strategy on both sides of the border.

I would like to thank the Mexican and U.S. experts who have worked so hard on this issue. On our side, Secretary Napolitano and I are committed to putting the resources in place to increase our attack on arms trafficking into Mexico.

Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail.

But as today's conference has emphad, the problem of arms trafficking will not be stopped at the border alone. Rather, as our experts emphad, this is a problem that must be met as part of a comprehensive attack against the cartels ? an attack in depth, on both sides of the border, that focuses on the leadership and assets of the cartel. This is the type of full-bore, prosecution-driven approach that the U.S. Department of Justice took to dismantle La Cosa Nostra - once the most powerful organized crime group operating in the United States.

With partners like those we have here today, I am confident that together, we will defeat these narcotics cartels in exactly the same way. I am proud to stand with you, and to join you in this fight. Thank you again for inviting me here.

Project Gunrunner is the parent operation to Fast & Furious.

This was the speech made to compliment Hilliary Clinton and Barack Obama assertions that it was American guns that were responsible for causing the violence in Mexico (the 'false-flag')......just 'primer for the pump' to enact stricter gun laws in the United States.

On Solyndra: President's Blackberry Off Limits
Posted by
CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jessica Yellin

Washington (CNN) - Congress isn't getting a glimpse of what's on President Barack Obama's Blackberry - or any more internal White House communications related to the bankrupt solar company Solyndra, which received a $535 million loan guarantee from the federal government.

House Republicans investigating the loan controversy had requested all internal White House documents about the issue. House Energy and Commerce subcommittee chair Rep. Cliff Stearns said that includes emails on the President's Blackberry.

On Friday the White House Counsel sent a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Committee explaining they won't comply with the request because it "implicates longstanding and significant institutional Executive Branch confidentiality interests."

The response is hardly a surprise given past administrations' refusal to comply with similar congressional requests. The difference here? President Obama is the first Chief Executive to carry a Blackberry, so it's the first time a White House counsel has - even indirectly - turned down an attempt to peek at his email. Neither the Blackberry nor his personal email is explicitly mentioned in the letter.

On October 5, Republican Chairmen Fred Upton and Cliff Stearns requested "all communications among White House staff and officials related to the $535 million loan guarantee to Solyndra" because they believed "the White House was closely involved in the monitoring of the Solyndra loan guarantee after it was issued."

They said these documents are necessary "to better understand the involvement of the White house in the review of the Solyndra loan guarantee and the Administration's support of this guarantee.'

In her letter Friday, White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler said, "the three federal agencies most directly involved in the Solyndra loan guarantee, the Department of Energy, the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of the Treasury, are all cooperating with the Committee's investigation into the Solyndra loan guarantee.”

Together she says the three agencies have turned over 70,000 pages of documents and are continuing to do so "on a rolling basis.” The letter states the White House has turned over another 900 pages related to communications between the White House and Solyndra, its representatives and investors. She offers to cooperate further with the investigators.

CNN has attempted to reach the Chairs of the Energy and Commerce Committee for comment. Expect some kind of political fallout.

Solyndra is a California solar panel manufacturer that had received $535 million in federal loan guarantees before it was forced to halt operations and file for bankruptcy at the end of August, putting more than 1,000 workers out of work.

Before its failure, the company had been touted as an example of the benefits of creating green jobs by the Obama administration. But since then, it has become the center of congressional criticism and a probe by the FBI.

Brian Harrison, the CEO of Solyndra, resigned Wednesday amidst the scandal

POTUS can have a gov't issued Blackberry, but in reality, it is SUBJECTED to be scanned over by the FEDS, as do normal private person's cell phone, if it aids in a crime. Obama seems to think he's above the law.

In other news stemming from Redzko with Celini being linked to Blago and former gov's of both parties, it's my opinion a lot more bad things are going to be surfacing regarding POTUS as Celini's trial carries on in Chicago. That's my opinion.

Why is it all Obama's top "friends" jumped ship so fast? There's a reason for it.

Q: What’s the difference between the Panama Canal and Nancy Pelosi?

A: The Panama Canal is one busy ditch.

http://dailycaller.com/2012/06/20/pelosi-rips-holder-contempt-charges-i-could-have-arrested-karl-rove-on-any-given-day/

Pelosi rips Holder contempt charges: [i]‘I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi attacked House Republicans for pursuing contempt of Congress charges against Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday.
“I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day,” Pelosi said on Wednesday, The Huffington Post reports. “I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.”
“Oh, any number” of charges could have been brought against Rove, Pelosi said. “But there were some specific ones for his being in contempt of Congress.”

………

It’s unclear if Pelosi is aware Rove did not serve in a Bush administration position that’s identical to Holder’s in the Obama administration. Rove was a senior policy adviser — a position that’s more similar to Valerie Jarrett’s or David Axelrod’s on President Barack Obama’s team. Holder is the attorney general, the top law enforcement official in the United States. Pelosi spokesman Nadeam Elshami wouldn’t answer when The Daily Caller asked if Pelosi was aware of the distinction.

Jon Stewart Fast and Furiously takes down Fox News for their outrage over President Obama’s executive action

Fox News and other Conservative media outlets have been doing handstands over President Obama’s executive action on Operation Fast and Furious, deeming it as a step toward “lawless dictatorship”. Fast and Furious, a ridiculously dumbfounding operation which was implemented to track guns in Mexico, by sending guns to Mexico has come to national attention — but one the many problems which is pointed out in one of Stewart’s clips is, that their own mouthpieces and politicians “don’t know” what the fucking’ problem is — but it’s Obama’s fault — it always is. Darrell Issa recently admitted that there is no evidence that the White House in the mind boggling operation known as ‘Fast and Furious.’

While targeting President Obama’s decision as a ‘lawless dictatorship’ they’ve neglected to remember some of their own politician’s decisions as Republicans cheered it on. The feigned outrage from Republicans is deafening, but not so much that Jon Stewart can’t take them down a peg or ten.

Watch. This is brilliant:

GOVERNOR RICK PERRY : "You gotta admit, this is almost Nixonian, if not absolutely Nixonian, in the cover-up that's going on with this Fast and Furious."

BOB SCHIEFFER: "What exactly are you accusing the President of here, Governor?"

GOVERNOR RICK PERRY: "I don't know! I mean, that's the issue."
