Everyone is going to rush to downtown Hammond to see the new parking spaces, the yellow brick roads and oriental lighting.

While the mayor is in China on an "excuse" of bringing business to of all places...Hammond.

Man, dumb, and dumber in itself.

Hope he took cash for the brothels.

Wink

Obama gives his 13 year old a vacation to Mexico with 12 other kids, with 25 secret service men, while the rest of the nation is told to stay away from "Mexico".

Unreal. Just a typical, lying, deceiving idiot. On the public DIME. Screw China, McDermott...you should stay home and bake cookies while your wife draws in the money without your aggravation and exageration about how good you are.

I wouldn't marry you, for a dime, if you offered billions.

Viva, Las Vegas! Now...Viva, China!!!!

Guess what? Your hair will turn grey and will fall out eventually, like Blago. You are THAT close.

You are the KING of public welfare; without the taxpayers, you couldn't afford the fake trips.

Your wife has to be dillusional like Patty Blago, to stick by her man, but I doubt it

That Sunday morning when she smacked you in the face with the "Times", you still didn't get it, did you? She can't be near as dumb as you.

You didn't learn anything from that.

Brick cross-ways, improved parking, oriental lighting "restored", to WHAT? Big Parking lots now, FOR WHAT? To show you got FEDERAL money, instead of using CASINO money...and the gravy train ran out, so you now have to skip town?

LOL. Feds are always miles ahead of you.

You're as dumb as Blago.

It would be pretty sad to have a parent like URright. My parents are in the eighties and live full, active lives.

My parents traveled to Hawaii three years before my dad died. He can be seen in pictures drawing his fingers down on names.

He offered six months to stay behind after his duty was over, while a Marine, after Pearl Harbor, to stay instead of going home home. He was qualified for the Purple Heart, sharpnel hit him where most men won't say where, and because of his pride, I only found out last weekend where it hit. It must've hurt, cuz one of two were removed. It was "PRIDE" thing. Why am I throwing this in? Cuz that's who he was, and I'm fighting for that purple heart and benefits from the service, for my mom. How he managed five kids with one left, amazes me!!!! you can call it the "Power Ball".

Hundreds of trips over the summers to our hometown. Enough?

While youn & poor, vacation was a MUST every year, until we couldn't stand it as older teens. My parents provided a loving, fun-time, extended family filled, life ling home along a quiet, private lake, pinching pennies, canning foods, growing gardens. Ever pick peanuts out of the ground, Sparks? We visited the first McDonalds on the way to Arlington Cemetary shortly after JFK got killed. Been up the monument, been in the White House. Been to the Dells, been to Ozarks, Table Rock Lake, Silver Dollar City, Wisconsin Dells, Las Vegas, California, Colorado, The ARCH in St. Louis it got so boring, I wanted to jump out the window. All the states except m aybe 25 out of 50. I hate traveling...but, been there.

Not only that, but we were taught to save and get what you need. Four of us teens at the time all had our own apts., cars, and jobs. I traveled extensively in my early twenties through my job, and to Naples and Marco Island, the Keys.

But, your point is, I'm a rotten parent? My daughter travels around the world. She makes probably over a hundred grand just arranging concerts, etc., for William Morris' Agency in La La Land, and traveled home 5 times last year.

My son operates a county landmark campground and beach. He owns various homes and rents them out. He also is in the process of fixing up a car he bought for a few hundred, and will sell to _______________ for $25,000 for the Indianapolis 500 Race. He can tear a house apart and make it look like a mansion - no matter what size. Every job - he can do.

They've been to California, to Florida, to every damn state I think. My point in this: They are independent, and grew up like I did, and they don't ask for a damn dime. They make three or four times you make, and ARE NOT STUCK in life like you. My ex and I had family over every freakin weeken playing games, bar-b-quing, playing Bocce Ball, playing Trivia. They knew their 80 year old gram and gramp/relatives from his side, second and third cousins, which we took in and got them on the road to success. They live quite well, and travel extensively. My ex'snephew got in the trucking business through my dad and my bro, and ex. He converted a two trailer truck to expand the sides and and tables turn into beds with mattresses. We traveled to California with them for two weeks with some other family members from the ex's side and it was a gas. A blast. My nephew has the biggest trucking company in Indiana, though he lives in IL in Will County and in the most beautiful home. We were all family, traveled, and us kids always tooks trips at our own expense. I was in Marco Island so many times before it got built up, and in Naples, I knew everyone. We exchanged letters. Whew!

I'm just sick of the B.S. politicians. Sick of the lies, sick of the corruption. And...I don't kiss azz.

My mom, sis and I just spent more than a week raking, weeding and etc. She was on her way to MO., went to TN, went to our hometown, traveling until the weather got nice. The rest of the family will take over. My mom is going to be 84 in May, and she was fertilizing the lawn while I put flashing up on the roof.

Wow, we lead boring lives.

Took a trip to several farmer's places on St. Pat's Day up by my mom's I missed the VFW dinner, but heck, had a great three or four meals. Picked up boulders along the road ways with one farmer and placed them in front of my mom's house. My bro went up and pruned the trees. Got the patio furniture out. Now I'm halfway home, stopped at my son's for a sec, heading home, having Easter so my mom can have a break; cousins are coming up for a week with their kids to my mom's, but pit stop where I live, so she doesn't have to cook. OOOOOOOH, re-shingled the mid-size mini shed from Sears my dad bought a century ago...burned the leaves, fought with the drunken Irish, cheap-azz next door before I went to bed. One minute a smile, next minute, the drunken eyes, and God Bless his new wife. Told him he was a damn faggot in disquise and told her she could do better than follow the drunk around, trying to cover up his moody drunkeness, and everything else that was on my mind. The guy had gout the next day. I told my dad in the sky, "Thanks, POP!"

Next week, have to put the pier in, get the boats out, (we rent out a building to store boats during the winter), and we have to grease up the crap. A neighbor mows and does the snow jobs, and my mom travels, always did, always will, like me. I take off wherever and whenever I feel like it.

UNLIKE YOU SPARKS.

As far as Mexico, Karen, be careful. This has nothing to do with 25 bodygaurds, cuz you won't have them. One stupid idiot that stayed at my (former) house insisted on marrying a Mexican who outlasted her visa, but wanted to live with her mom and dad, 2 kids in Mexico. He went back, against his mom's (and brother's) wishes because (oh, 35 years old), because of the drug battles. He's dead now. The earthquake probably would have done him in anyway....they drive with no licenses down there, and if you get caught, give the cop a couple of pesos. (His words). He got hooked on the drugs, and here is a real corker: About 6 years ago, my cousin and her hubby, & a couple that were best friends with them (one was a former correctional officer who resigned after getting stabbed at a jail by an inmate, and almost died) went to Mexico. The place where they stayed was beautiful and wonderful. They were told NOT to leave the port to go outside the exposed shops. They witnessed a tourist from America with a shopping bag full of souvenirs. She was walking along and a little ten year old punk threw a bag of drugs (think it was weed) in her shopping bag. She dropped it, cuz she saw "POLICIO" standing nearby. As she walked away, the punky 10 year old, grabs her shopping bag full of souvenirs and runs away. So, be careful. That was more than five years ago and a great deal of a trip money-wise, , but they won't go back.

My ex has been going there for five years during the winter. Not this winter, because last year...the "darling, safe place" - a restaurant he and his friends patronized; got blown up a few blocks away from where he was residing for the winter. No one goes there anymore. He went south of Florida this year, I don't bother asking where, just take us there next year, it's so cheap.

Never will he go back to Mexico again. Alcupulco used to be the prime place. It's vacated, full of gangs, no tourists.

You' better be careful once you step foot in Mexico because it is so bad now, the kids are trained to rob you without you even noticing. It's horrible down there, now. The safest place is now being evaded. Everywhere. Unless you have 25 bodyguards.

Hey Sparks, enjoy the Hammond Fest! If you can't afford college out of state for one kid, I can only imagine what thrills you provided having just ONE. Unless you got more in the line...that you don't want Tiger bugging you about.

I don't know what your comments were where the topic got locked up, but I want to tell the Administrator I'm a big girl, and I can handle your insecurities. My dad might have had ONE, but you have NONE.

Sparks doesn't know how to relate to even himself. But he sure knows about everyone else, even while assuming.

You are missing two of what you need.
