I wanted to address this since I don't think anyone has brought it up on the forum yet. With the primaries going on, and all of the other topics that seem to be popular at the moment, I'm not surprise that this has fallen by the wayside.

Yeah. Well I understand the desire to protect copyrights and all of that, but I'm against this bill. As a rule, I want to keep the Internet as open and free as possible. I'm even against forcing online retailers like Amazon to collect state sales taxes. There is no way that I can support SOPA.

I'm against it too, and tt's probably one of the only times I'll ever be on the same page with Rand Paul, Michelle Bachmann, Paul Ryan, Darrell Issa, Marco Rubio, and Jim DeMint.

Did you ever think you'd see the day that you agreed with any of them on anything? Especially something this important.

As far as I know Lugar, Coats, and Visclosky haven't taken a position yet.

Spoke a moment too soon... Now PIPA's been delayed too.

Actually. PIPA was the first one to go down.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) canceled next week’s vote on the Protect IP Act (PIPA) on Friday morning, and minutes later, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) said he would shelve the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).
