We always joke about a circular firing squad. This was it! Watching them throw each other under the bus for 2 hrs was priceless. Watch the clips tomorrow and you'll see what I mean. At one point I thought Rick Perry, who actually stayed awake, was going to strangle Romney.

I read all kinds of versions online.
It's a shame, isn't it? Acting like idiots.
Even though it was "free admission" to watch on TV, I'm glad I didn't waste my time.
Bunch of idiots wanting power, greed, free living quarters, running for high office. That's all they are.

It was quite a circus. It was so bad that I actually felt like Ron Paul won this debate.
You never know with them? I predict the primaries going to be a long drawn out process. They seem to change their mind about who the front-runner is more often than most of them change their clothes.
I heard that they're back to taking Herman Cain seriously again...

Which is why Romney, like McCain, won't be taken seriously if he ends up taking it. They're desperate to replace him, and the resulting clown parade is a comedian's dream... Trump, Palin, Bachmann, Perry? And then the guy that had to say "Do I need to fake my death so you stop bothering me?! I'm not running!" Yup. "Romney 2012... cause we couldn't find anyone else. And we tried really, really hard."

I don't get why they are so against Romney. He was a conservative in liberal Massachusetts. I wonder if it would help if he would just come forward and say, "I took positions that were popular with the state. I gave my constituents what they wanted, and I don't plan on running the country the same way I ran Massachusetts." Truth be told, he would have never been elected in Massachusetts had he not did what he did. He's not as much a flip-flopper as he is a push over. He's going to adapt whatever the popular position of the moment is.
I don't typically agree with Palin, but here I definitely do to some extent. It seems anymore that the definition of winning one of these debates is not losing/making yourself look like an ass. Gingrich wasn't asked many questions, and didn't get into many scuffles with the rest of them. Now I suppose it's hard to fall much lower than 3%... but I would say that Gingrich succeeded at not doing worse.

They are against Romney for the same reason that they refuse to consider Huntsman. The Republicans care about ideology, first and foremost. If they were actually concerned about effective governance, they would support a moderate candidate. If they weren't so concerned with "ideological purism," they could beat Obama without resorting to voter suppression tactics.

Gingrich got nailed on having to admit that he was for an individual health care mandate.

That's got to be it, right? A desperate appeal to the die-hard morons still infecting the party? I think it's a poor move, since that issue should be a dead one to anyone who passed the second grade, but we'll see what happens to his poll numbers. Today's Republican part never ceases to amaze me.
