So far this year in Chicago sports...
The beloved Chicago Bears lost to the their oldest enemy, the green bay packers, in the NFC championship game. The packers then went on to win the superbowl.
The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks came back and won three games to force a game 7 against the Vancouver Canucks by winning three games in a row only to lose game 7 by a point. The Canucks are now in the Stanley Cup Championship.
The Chicago Bulls play to the best record in the NBA winning the most regular season games since Jordan left in 1998. It's been a long time coming for Bulls fans that stuck it out through Tim Floyd, Eddy Curry, Jason Williams, and Vinny Del Negro. Finally, the Bulls were back. Unfortunately there is a 6'8", 280 lb beast from Miami that ruined all of our plans for glory. Now Lebron James, D Wade, and Chris Boshtrich are going to the NBA finals.
Once again our Chicago sports team is left to sort things out, regroup, and hope the world doesn't end in 2012. Can it be any worse? I suppose I would feel better if Miami and Vancouver lose in the championship....
