The desperate walkback will start in 3..2...1....

ON RAISING THE SOCIAL SECURITY RETIREMENT AGE:
On Social Security, we're all living a lot longer than anybody ever expected. I think raising the retirement age, going out twenty years from now, not affecting anyone close to retirement, and eventually getting the retirement age to seventy is a step that needs to be taken.

ON BANNING OUTSIDE INCOME FOR SOCIAL SECURITY RECIPIENTS:
If you have substantial non-Social Security income while you are retired, why are we paying you at a time when we're broke?

ON MAKING CUTTING SOCIAL SECURITY THE GOP'S #1 FISCAL PRIORITY:
I think Social Security would be the most logical place to start. It's just a matter of numbers.

How stiupid are these politicians...most are gonna flop over dead from no jobs. Just like the Brady "Bunch" guy from IL wants to cut the minmum wage. As it stands now, the last phase eases in at 8.25 an hour which leaves you as a single person at $350.00 a week before taxes.

Who the hell is gonna pay to keep up with these politicians...slapping extra taxes on crap, when they make over 2 grand, and get greedy wanting more from lobbyists? And then they take bribes.

And I don't care if you have an R or a D after your name...they are all alike and brainless.

Who is gonna support these idiots once the great depression sets in.

Can't give a cost of living to aging seniors on soc. sec.,. can't afford independent living for their mentally challengenged people that work for pennies, can't find housing for the homeless under the bridges...can't do this or that...but they sure find ways of making themselves look like they are worth 2 grand or more, free cars, free medicine, free healthcare, free anything... by taking these simple little tasts that seem to show they do something while sitting on their fat azzes:

No smoking in public places.
Gun Control.
Not passing cost of living while giving themselves raises.
Can't solve a damn oil rig explosion with all the technology and help being offered by other countries....
Can't do shitz without playing golf and having to travel nationwide to run campaigns for good-for-nothing parties...

The privileged will wake up soon enough to a depression. People loosing their jobs, home, medical, and who will be left to keep up with their parties and payrolls? Their insurance, their travel, their pensions, their once a week parties, whether white, black, yellow or green, with an R or a
D next to their name?

Fools. That's what they are. When the public is suffering and the money well dries up, so will their ink for printing money we don't have.

They're all stupid...every damn one of them. R or D.

After "Change!" and "Yes We Can!" and after Bush, who will bother voting anymore? Just another bunch of idiots to take their place. Born with the silver spoon in their mouths.

Luckily with Ted Kennedy's death, the extended family has decided they have no clout anymore. Ted didn't envision this kind of change and when he left the world, Obama lost his mentor. He doesn't know what the hell he is doing anymore.

The legacy Bush and Obama will leave behind is they stir up trouble, and leave office without resolving anything.

That's the definition of a politician: Say but don't do. Both parties SUCK.

Can't solve a oil rig problem, they just shut down the rest. But howdy-ho....they gave safety awards to the very rig last year. Dog and pony shows.

When the economy sinks down south, I hope to hell the price of oysters go up to 50 buckaroos for these partying politicians, and the oil is as invisible as the Russian spies' invisible ink...misleading them for a change that no matter the price, YOU ARE NOT EXEMPT.

Go ahead and propose that people will live and work until they are 70...what a joke. Lucky to have a damn job with four degrees when you are left go at 50 and that was while Bush was in office...work for the gov't you are safe. Go to Mexico and enjoy the weather, the low pay, but pay less.

Can't beat the Mexican's may as well go live in a mansion for 1/4 the cost and your electric bill will come to 50.00 bucks every two months. Drink bottled water, fertilize your own garden the right way and tell the U.S. politicians we are just following the jobs. Let the illegals pay your lifestyle. Not smart Americans.

You know, it's obvious that you haven't been following the effort to get this well under control, because if you had, you would know that there is no "magic bullet."

There simply is no technology to cap this well. To imply that other countries have the answers is total BS.

It was confirmed during the "top kill" at the end of May that the well casing has been breached below the ocean floor. Any "solution" that totally "caps" the well could blow out the frickin' ocean bottom, and trust me, that would be much. much worse.

It's just asinine to imply that the Obama Administration isn't doing everything that is humanly possible to stop this disaster. At this point, they are doing exactly what they should be doing... putting pressure on BP to contain the leak as much as possible until the relief wells are completed in August.

Nice to see Boehner and the GOP have their priorities in order...and who more fitting to lead the way than the Orange hued house minority leader....
Boehner Takes A Stand Against Paying $1.50 More For Indoor Tanning
Having already declared health care reform a failure just three months after it passed, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) wants to alert the public that today is the day the Affordable Care Act begins to destroy America, one tanning salon at a time. Boehner blasted out a press release and tweet warning about a 10 percent tax on indoor tanning beds, which goes into affect today, to help fund the Affordable Care Act. Citing a Wall Street Journal article, Boehner wrote, the tax is “causing all kinds of problems for business owners who provide tanning services.”
>snip<
The tanning tax — in addition to raising $2.7 billion to help Americans afford health care who otherwise couldn’t — is aimed at discouraging unhealthy activities, much like taxes on cigarettes and alcohol. A recent study from the American Association for Cancer Research found that people “who tanned indoors had a 74% greater risk of developing melanoma than those who never used the machines.” Melanoma is “one of the most aggressive and deadliest cancers,” killing about 10 percent of those diagnosed — 48,000 each year worldwide. The “tax will significantly reduce the future costs of treating skin cancers,” the president of the American Academy of Dermatology told CNN. Meanwhile, fewer than 10 percent of Americans use tanning beds, and at an average cost of about $15 to $20 per visit, customer will only pay about $1.50 or $2.00 extra.
