| Haven't the wing nut brain stems been harping about the demise of Obama? | POLLS: What A Difference A Day Makes....If yesterday's national numbers were a fairly unrelenting downer, today's national numbers, on balance, are a bit more positive. A national poll from Ipsos-McClatchy had President Obama's approval at 56-40, and staked the Democrats to an eight-point (42-34) lead on the generic Congressional ballot test. A caveat--this poll has an incredibly unique party breakdown (45% I, 34% D, 22% R). Three other national pollsters chimed in today: CBS was the most bullish on Obama (56-37, +19), CNN was the most bearish on Obama (53-45, + , with Pew splitting the difference (52-37, +15). Pew also polled the ballot test, but they had a smaller Democratic lead (45-44). Lastly, after flirting with going sub-50, President Obama's numbers on Gallup have rebounded somewhat, rising a few points to 54-40. http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/9/2/775924/-Polling-and-Political-Wrap-Up,-9-2-09 | |

| Despite all the wingnuts and tea party loon's craziness and rants about low approval, it seems that nothing has changed.... Obama leads all potential 2012 Republican challengers: Poll - Quote :
- WASHINGTON: A new poll has revealed that US President Barack Obama holds an edge over each of his potential Republican challengers in 2012.
Obama's Republican challengers for 2012 elections include former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
According to a Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey, Obama runs ahead of the lot with 46 percent of the vote, while Huckabee runs closer than any other Republican in the field with 44 per cent votes followed by Romney with 42.
Senator John McCain, Obama's 2008 rival, is the third top opponent for the president, drawing 42 per cent support, but trailing Obama by 7 percentage points.
"Obama is certainly weaker than in November 2008 since Huckabee and Romney do better against him than John McCain did, but continuing to lead all his potential opponents in this political climate isn't bad," Politico quoted Tom Jensen, PPP Director, as having written on his blog. The poll was conducted from June 4 to 7 with a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.

| Those few choice photos speak louder than any words could. Ignoring this country's flag and anthem is treason. This guy is total embarrassment! | |

So why do you defend someone who shows NO respect for his flag, anthem, or country? Save your breath, there is NO excuse for it! I served in the Army, and I can tell you, this guy is a piss poor excuse for a "Commander-in-Chief".

| One thing I did notice once POTUS took office, and I say this with all my heart. I noticed him not acknowledging the soldier(s) that welcome him off the plane.
It bothered me right away. Every other POTUS saluted, looking into the eyes of those that stood at the foot of the planes last steps. See for yourself; he never looks at them, and salutes and it bothered me grately....all my family are Marines, were in the Navy, Air Force.
I never once saw President Obama look a Marine in the eye while saluting after exiting Air Force Once. He swiftly does the salute looking forward, as of routine, never acknowledging them.
I find that a disgrace. I keep looking and hoping that he looks that Marine, or any soldier in the eye, and salutes him. No. He walks down, staring striaght ahead, salutes with a half-hearted "hat's off to you, without looking at you" and goes marching forward as if they were "just there" and it was meant to be routine gesture.
I noticed that from the beginning of his Presidency, and his actions have not intensed to any degree since then. He simply puts that hand up there real swift, and never looks the Marine in the eye. It's like it is just required, and it's a half- masked salute.
I can remember every other POTUS looking first at that Marine, looking him in the eye with gratefullness, not ignoring him and saluting him before proceeding beyond the last step of Air Force Once.
That sincerely bothers me. Past Presidents, whether they served or not, the first thing they did was take a pause, and both the POTUS andthe Marine saluted each other
President Obama does not even look at them while exiting the Air Force Once He slightly gives a salute, looks straight ahead, ad walks alway. It does upset me.
Any one else notice that? I have, since he became POTUS. Maybe Flotus told him what to do.

| I would hope you are wrong. Maybe he wasn't raised to be grateful to veterans. Was his grandpa one? | |

Visit this website to see the younger Bush walk on Old Glory, fail to salute the anthem, meet with corrupt individuals, and declare mission accomplished to a war that is still going on.
