Another "family values" Republican gets caught with his pants down. Here's what he had posted on his website "The family plays a fundamental role in our society... I am committed to preserving traditional marriage, the union of one man and one woman." Now if only John Ensign and David Vitter would do likewise.....

Quote :
Indiana Republican Rep. Mark Souder says he'll resign from Congress effective Friday over an affair with a staffer.

Souder says in a statement provided by his office Tuesday that he has "sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff."

I would post something about the sacred institution of marriage, but why waste my breath? I'm certain Mirage will be along soon to defend him.

It's getting to the point you just can't trust any politician. Remember the gov that flew to Argentina on the public dime...what a beautiful wife he had and how this affects his children.

Seems when they get in office in a big-shot position, they think they owe no explanation as to ethics, morals, and representing the office the way they should.

Wonder how many more are going to get caught with their pants down?

That's because the disillusioned base doesn't demand it of them anymore. That goes for either party. The explanation always ends up being, Party A did this, but we justify it because Party B did that.

In other words Republicans don't have to answer for it. They simply have to point a finger at a Democrat who has done the same thing. And then Democrats respond by pointing fingers back.

You never admit wrongdoing out of fear that it might help the "other side".

Yeah, but this is getting really out of hand. Especially since Clinton. Then there were rumors of Obama being "too close" to a campaign worker, or whatever. Whether it's true or not...it just seems all the way from Hollywood, from Mexico to the White House to every state, I still can't believe I produced children that still hold moral grounds, refuse to put others before they fulfill their own careers, not to mention just being morally obligated. I can't believe my own daughter goes to church every Sunday at age 26, sends telecaptioned sermons, has no ill feelings in this world toward anyone..and constantly preaches about morals. I just don't get it.

She loves Obama..did...I don't really know how she feels now. She resides by the Hollywood sign, but I wonder how she feels about the illegals. I have to ask her.

I just believe I can no longer have faith in our politicians......especially when Clinton shocked and rocked the world.

When I went to work for the gov't., they interviewed everyone of my friends, neighbors, the schools, anyone...they checked out my bank account, my credit...yet they wanted to grab me for the typing pool....I just don't get it that this stuff doesn't happen in the gov't today. Before it was the CIA, Investigators investigating whether you were worthy of working for them...now, it seems, it doesn't matter. I don't think they are as strignent today as they were in the past. I think most get in the gov't by just having a friend "tip you off". I think that is what downgraded the gov't's credibility.

Look who Obama dragged in: People who "forgot to pay taxes". Yet, the ordinary citizen wouldn't be allowed to work for them, and would go to jail for it. It just all confuses me.

Like I said before, it does not matter whether you have an "R" or a "D" after your name. They are still all who they are, and that title means squat. There are no differences between either party...only out for themselves. Not the people who pay for them.

As long as they are doing their job correctly, they could have Oval Office orgies for all I care.
