Superintendent Brian Smith confirmed that Ritchie worked as a full-time teacher at Lake Village Elementary and was dismissed after the 1987-88 school year after he was accused of inappropriately touching a student. PORTAGE | The Board of Zoning Appeals reached a compromise with operators of El Patron restaurant this week that will allow them to remain open until midnight on the weekends.



The owners had been operating the restaurant at 6291 Central Ave., but extended weekend operating hours until 3 a.m. to allow for late dancing and music. The restaurant only had permission to operate until 10 p.m.

This is not a new problem either.  





The onlyissue I have with the article is the fact that most schools these days do not schedule enough time in between classes to go to a locker and bathroom before you have to be in the next class.  So are the kids who need to go to the nurse going to have a blanket hall pass to avoid being tardy to the same class every day?
